"Chamerolles prepares for 2026: Annual closure in January | Chamerolles Castle"
"Chamerolles Castle is closing its doors to the public from January 1st to January 31st, 2026. A necessary break to better welcome you back!
While the gates of the castle and its gardens may be closing for a few weeks, activity is in full swing inside. This month of closure is a period of great excitement for our entire team, who are working passionately to maintain this exceptional heritage and prepare a new season full of discoveries."
"Behind the scenes: January"
"While the estate returns to its winter calm, we are 'all hands on deck' to carry out numerous missions:
Conservation and care of the collections: We are conducting a 'récolement' (a meticulous inventory check) of our collections and a deep cleaning of the castle rooms and the Perfume Museum.
Archives and Memory: Essential archiving work is being carried out to document the history of the site and its artifacts.
Beautification and maintenance: We are taking advantage of the absence of visitors to perform renovation work and technical maintenance.
Educational creativity: Our guides are rewriting tour scripts for schools and designing new fun, sensory workshops for families.
Heading for 2026: We are refining our cultural programming and preparing communication materials so that you don’t miss any of our upcoming events (exhibitions, garden activities, etc.)."
