Instructions and Info for 'Blue Picnic' - August 15

For a smooth running of the "Picnic in Blue" evening this Saturday, August 15, 2026, here is some very useful information:

Doors open: 7:30 PM

Pop rock concert schedule during your picnic: around 8:00 to 10:00 PM

Castle opening: 8:00 PM

Castle closing: around 10:15 PM. We invite visitors to head to the main courtyard for the closing of the evening.

Light and/or fire show (depending on the prefectural decree) in the castle's main courtyard [outside]: 10:30 to 10:50 PM

End of the evening: 11:00 PM

The picnic takes place in the park, around our reflecting pool, surrounded by trees for some shade. View of the castle's south wing.  

You can bring your own picnic or enjoy the on-site food options:  

Franco-Asian food truck: "Le camion qu'on aime"  

Sweet food truck with crepes and homemade ice cream: "Le temps d'une promenade"  

Cocktail truck to enjoy cocktails with or without alcohol and draft beers (to be consumed responsibly): "Chope Chop" by Marion  

Dress code: blue  
Come dressed in blue for a better vibe at this evening.

Prioritize online ticketing as much as possible to save time when you arrive. For those who already have their entry tickets, there are reserved lines to the right of the reception. For those who want to get their tickets on-site, this is possible—just go to the reception (as long as capacity hasn’t been reached and there are still spots available).

If it rains:

• We are keeping the evening going but with some modifications:
• The picnic will not take place outdoors but indoors in the "Grande Halle" (our wedding hall). Given the attendance for this evening, we will have two dinner services: 
  • 1st service from 7:30 PM to 9 PM
  • 2nd service: 9 PM to 10:30 PM
    • While the first group is having dinner in the Hall, the second group will take the candlelit tour of the castle. And we’ll switch from 9 PM onwards (for everyone’s comfort).
• This way, you can still enjoy the concert. For each service, the band will play for 1 hour to accompany your meal.
• You can either prepare your picnic or enjoy the on-site catering.
• The castle will be open for visits without changes, so you can enjoy the candle lighting and the treasure hunt/investigation activity available (to be done in the castle rooms on a self-guided tour).
• The light and/or fire show (depending on the prefectural decree) will still take place (except in a storm) even if it rains a little, in the castle's main courtyard.

 

The picnic area is about 120-150 meters from the welcome building. The parking lot is right next to the welcome building. If it rains, the Grand Hall is less than 70 meters from the welcome building.  
Accessible parking spaces are on the right when you enter our parking lot. If they are already taken, you can drop off people with reduced mobility in the 'quick drop-off' area located just after the 'Accessible Parking' spaces.
