Are you wondering, "What's there to do at the château in August?"

For heritage lovers, a guided tour remains the best way to discover our château. Every day in August.

For creative and crafty types, take part in our Thursday summer workshops (for all ages).

For adventurers and gamers, ask at reception for the "Secret Word" to solve puzzles in the château's gardens and grounds.

For those looking for a bucolic and enchanting moment, come to our Grand Pique Nique en Bleu.

Guided tours in August

Discover the history of the château from the Renaissance to the present day.

Between the history of the site and a visit to the Promenade des Parfums and the furnished rooms, you'll learn everything about Chamerolles.

A 1-hour 15-minute guided tour ends with a scent test to immerse you in the world of perfumery, the theme of our château, also known as "the château of perfumes."

No reservation required.
Guided tours are in French only.
Tickets can be purchased directly on site at the reception desk.

Summer creative workshops

Every Thursday in August, come and participate in a creative workshop on various themes for all ages.

"Cabinet of Curiosities" workshop for children aged 3-7 : Thursday, August 7

"Rolled Paper" workshop for children aged 8-12 : Thursday, August 14

"Spicy Candle" workshop for children aged 13 and over and for adults: Thursday, August 21

The Secret Word - a puzzle trail in the gardens

The Secret Word - our puzzle trail in the castle gardens

Normally intended for children aged 7-12, this puzzle trail through the castle gardens is also popular with adults. Don't hesitate to ask if you're a gamer or a fan of puzzles. Enjoy it with family, friends, or just for fun.

Explore the gardens by solving puzzles here and there, awakening all your senses and putting your deductive and logical thinking to the test.

Ask for your booklet at reception; it's included with the admission ticket.

Our Big Blue Picnic on August 16

For all those who love unusual experiences in a bucolic setting, come and join our Grand Pique Nique en Bleu on August 16th.

On the program:

Picnic in the castle grounds facing the castle with live music. The musical atmosphere will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. approximately. 30 minutes of fairly soft guitar/vocals to welcome visitors followed by a GOOD TIMES disco/funk set for 1 hour 30 minutes.

Giant soap bubble show in the gardens

Fire juggling show in the castle courtyard

A welcome by our luminous stilt walker will also be on the program.

 

+ a "photo rally" treasure hunt to do if you wish to unearth hidden details in the castle. To do with friends or family, it's fun and playful.

Entrance prices for the evening: €16 per adult, €12 reduced rate (children 6-17 years old, students, job seekers, etc.)
Come dressed in blue to respect the dress code.
Catering available on site thanks to our Asian food truck and cocktail truck.
If it rains, the picnic accompanied by the concert will take place in our reception hall, "La Grande Halle," with 200 seats (if it rains, call ahead to ensure you have a seat). The tour of the château and the fire juggling show will also take place (except in bad weather). Only the giant bubble show in the gardens will be canceled if it rains heavily.
