"The Secret Word" Game Booklet
From July 4 to September 20, 2026, the Château de Chamerolles is hosting a large-scale, self-guided mystery game titled "Le Mot Secret" (The Secret Word) amidst its Renaissance gardens.
Open to everyone—families, friends, and couples—this fun-filled adventure invites participants to solve puzzles by using their powers of deduction, taking on challenges, and engaging their sense of smell. To take part, simply pick up a game booklet at the château’s reception desk when purchasing your tickets.
Workshops for the 3-6 years old
This summer, the Château de Chamerolles is offering a creative workshop for children aged 3 to 6, where they can personalize their own tote bag by decorating it with paint, markers, and designs inspired by the estate. Participants will take home their unique creation as a souvenir.
In addition, workshop admission includes free access to the "Le Mot Secret" (The Secret Word) scavenger hunt in the gardens; simply ask for the activity booklet at the reception desk.

Workshops for the 7-12 years old
This summer, the Château de Chamerolles is offering children aged 7 to 12 the "Cadre Bleu" (Blue Frame) workshop—an experience combining the science of fragrance with the visual arts.
The activity takes place in two stages: first, an olfactory immersion using a perfumer's organ to discover the garden's scents, followed by a creative cyanotype workshop (an early photographic process using sunlight) to capture the imprints of plants. Children will take home their own deep-blue artwork.

Workshops for the more 12 years old and adults
This summer, the Château de Chamerolles is offering an introductory workshop on quilling—the ancient art of rolled paper—for teenagers and adults.
This creative and relaxing activity involves rolling and gluing thin strips of colored paper to create delicate, raised designs, such as flowers and arabesques. After bringing their unique creations to life with the help of the instructors, participants are invited to extend the relaxing experience with a leisurely stroll through the estate's gardens.

"Renaissance Festival"
On July 18 and 19, 2026, the Château de Chamerolles is hosting the "Renaissance Festival," a major weekend of historical immersion for all ages.
The estate transforms into an open-air stage featuring a rich program of activities: fencing demonstrations, archery, burlesque performances, and period music, alongside opportunities to discover traditional crafts (such as blacksmithing, carpentry, and dyeing) and daily life in the 16th century. Food trucks will be available on-site, and admission is €12 at the full rate (€6 reduced rate).
Our Picnic in Blue
On Saturday, August 15, the Château de Chamerolles is hosting a summer evening event themed around the color blue.
Starting at 7:30 PM, the program features a musical picnic with a pop-rock concert by the band "Cardioïde," a candlelight tour of the château, and scavenger hunts and photo rallies for all ages. The evening will conclude in style in the main courtyard with a breathtaking, high-energy fire-juggling performance by Compagnie SuperCho.
Dress code: wear blue.

Not to mention our guided tours, available every day in July and August.
From July 1 to August 31, the Château de Chamerolles offers daily guided tours (departing at 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM) that delve into the estate's history.
These guided tours, lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, allow visitors to explore the château's Renaissance architecture and discover the captivating "Promenade des Parfums" (Perfume Walk), which is dedicated to the history of hygiene and fragrance. The ticket (€12 full price / €8 reduced rate; advance booking recommended) also grants independent access to the site's gardens.
