You know the news - literary festival on May 31st in Chamerolles

21 May 2026

Have you heard the news? A literary and sensory interlude at the Château de Chamerolles on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This festival is organized by the "Do You Know the News?" association, with support from the Loiret Department and the Château de Chamerolles.

The Château de Chamerolles is pleased to host another edition of the "Have You Heard the News?" event. Between captivating readings, boundless imagination, and sensory immersion, this 2026 edition will immerse you in the reading of five short stories in the castle's rooms before the presentation of the Boccaccio Prize, which will crown one of the five winning authors.

Combining the historical setting of the Renaissance and the enchanting world of the Perfume Walk with the refinement of literature: this is the successful formula of this event. Throughout the afternoon of Sunday, May 31st, words will resonate within the halls: in the Green Salon, the Red Salon, the kitchens, the stables... offering the public a true escape from time. So, all lovers of literature, quickly reserve your May 31st to come to the château.

Discovering the talents of the 2026 edition

The highlight of this event lies in showcasing talented authors who excel in the challenging art of the short story: this concise narrative where every word counts and the ending always surprises.

The Château de Chamerolles warmly congratulates the 2026 laureates for the richness of their writing and their sensitivity:

Gilles Dienst for his short story "The 9:24 Express"

Bruno Giroux for his short story "Stronger"

Laurent Cappe for his short story "A Few Echoes of Chaos"

Bernard Quiriny for his short story "Nighttime Tales"

Patrice Malavieille for his short story "Artists?"

One of the five laureates will be awarded the 2026 Boccaccio Prize at the end of the day (in the Hall of the Château de Chamerolles).
