How to get to the château? We'll give you directions and tips for getting there! Less than 1 hour 45 minutes from Paris, 2 hours from Tours, and 35 minutes from Orléans, the Château de Chamerolles awaits you to discover its history, its rich furnishings, its Perfume Promenade, and its Renaissance gardens.

By car, here are our routes through Loiret...

Your route to reach the Château de Chamerolles from the center of Paris (approximately 98 km):

1. Leaving Paris (South)
Cross Paris heading south, passing over the Île de la Cité (Pont Notre-Dame).

Go up Rue Saint-Jacques towards the Panthéon.

Continue along Avenue des Gobelins and then Place d'Italie.

Leave the city center via the Poterne des Peupliers to reach the main roads.

2. Main Roads (Motorways and National Routes)
Take the A6b (Autoroute du Soleil) towards Bordeaux/Nantes/Lyon.

Turn onto the A10 (Aquitaine) for a few kilometers.

Exit the motorway and take the N20 (Route d'Orléans) south for approximately 33 km.

3. Secondary Roads (Essonne and Loiret)
At Étampes, leave the N20 and take the D191, then the D721.

Next, follow a series of departmental roads through the countryside (D145, D49, D20) towards Chilleurs-aux-Bois.

4. Arrival
Once on the D2152, turn onto the D109 (Route de Gallerand) to reach the château.

Final Destination:
Château de Chamerolles

If you prefer public transport...

Getting to Chamerolles by public transport is only possible from May to September, and only on weekends and public holidays. The Centre-Val de Loire region and the Loiret department operate a shuttle service with several departures and arrivals daily from the Orléans bus station, located opposite the SNCF train station: destination Chamerolles Castle and then the Grandes Bruyères Arboretum (you can visit both sites in the same day if you wish using the shuttle service).

You can also receive a discount on your castle entrance ticket by showing your shuttle ticket.

The shuttles are only available on weekends and public holidays between May and September, connecting Orléans city center to Chamerolles Castle.

From Tours -->

Your route from Tours to reach the Château de Chamerolles (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes):

1. Leaving Tours
From Place Jean Jaurès, head towards Boulevard Heurteloup.

Follow the signs to rejoin the A10 motorway towards Paris/Blois.

2. Motorway Section (Longest)
Take the A10 (L'Aquitaine) for approximately 107 km.

Note: You will pass through the Monnaie toll plaza.

As you approach Orléans, follow the signs for A19 / Metz-Nancy / Montargis.

3. A19 Connection and Exit
Drive on the A19 for approximately 30 km.

Take exit 7 (Pithiviers / Neuville-aux-Bois).

Note: You will pass through the Escrennes toll plaza (€21.70).

4. Arrival at the Château
At the roundabout after the tollbooth, follow the D2152 for approximately 6 km.

Finally, turn left onto the D109 (Route de Gallerand) to reach the château.

If you prefer to hail a taxi...

By taxi:

Come by taxi with one of the many taxi providers, such as
TAXI VSL ORLEANS, Taxis: Taxis AMB45, or ALLO TAXI CONVENTIONNE VSL LOIRET 45.

Please avoid using unlicensed taxis, which are neither licensed nor metered, as you will not be covered in the event of an accident.
