Accessibility of the monument

Access

Free parking, 2 places reserved for persons with limited mobility approximately 25 metres from reception and the ticket office. Places indicated by directional signage.

Suitably adapted clear and simple signage with text-image association, to facilitate safe and independent movement for everyone.

Pictograms showing direction of movement and potential dangers are on show in the chateau rooms (do not touch, beware of steps etc).

Warning: low lighting levels and a few sound alarms may upset the sensitivity of some of our visitors. The sound alarms are triggered if the rope barriers are approached too closely.

Suitably adapted visit tools

Mediation tools that use sense of smell, known as perfume diffusers, reveal the Promenade des Parfums in a more sensory way.
Guided tours offered to groups by reservation are made to measure. They allow the chateau and its collections in a simpler and more enjoyable way, using sight and smell.
An interview with the teachers and guides, both upstream and on site, is strongly recommended in order for made-to-measure visit to be applied.
