Wondering if the castle is open on Monday, June 9th - a public holiday? We have the answer!

The doors will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you all visiting our castle on Whit Monday, June 9th, 2025.

Also, take advantage of the minibus that runs all day between Orléans city center (train station) and the château (if you don't have a car)!

Guided tour at 3:00 p.m.

Alternatively, self-guided tour all day between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with a map, exhibition panels, room information sheets, and an audio tour on your phone by scanning a QR code on the website or by downloading our audio room information sheets by following the link below -->

The new castle shuttles -->

Don't have a car and want to come to the Château de Chamerolles? Don't panic, we have the solution.

Thanks to the Centre-Val de Loire region, from May 1st to September 14th, 2025, shuttles will travel from the Orléans bus station (city center) to Chamerolles, also passing through the bucolic Arboretum des Grandes Bruyères. It's an opportunity to spend a day off the beaten track visiting the château and arboretum.

Opening days and times

January :

The château is closed throughout January.

Reopening on Saturday February 1st 2025 at 10 a.m.

1 February to 31 March :

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 1:30 to 5:30 pm.

Open at weekends from 10 am to 12 noon and from 1:30 to 5:30 pm.

1 to 30 April

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

1 May to 30 June :

Every day except Tuesday,

10 am to 6 pm.

1 July to 31 August:

Open every day

from 10 am to 6 pm.

1-30 September:

Every day except Tuesday,

10 am to 6 pm.

1 October to 31 December:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 1:30 to 5:30 pm.

Open at weekends from 10 am to 12 noon and from 1:30 to 5:30 pm.

Warning: the ticket office closes 30 minutes before the château closes.

The car park gates close at the same time as the château.
