Guided tours of the castle ...

Saturday and Sunday at 11am, come and discover the crazy history of the Château de Chamerolles during a guided tour. For 1h15, you will discover the history of the building, the rooms on the ground floor with its furniture as well as the Promenade des parfums on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Price: €10 per adult, €6 per child, family pass at €22 for 2 adults and 2 paying children
Do you need to book? No, no reservation in advance. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the time at the ticket office to ensure as many places as possible for the guided tour.

Guided tours "from the garden to the rose"

At 2:30 pm and 4 pm, we invite you to follow our guide for a special "gardens" tour. Indeed, only on this weekend, we will reveal everything about our Renaissance gardens and the plants that live there. Design of the gardens, composition of the different squares, sensory walk to discover our hundreds of plants starting with our 77 varieties of rose bushes, smell lavender, aromatic plants ... for a visit that will awaken your senses.

Paper Windmill Workshop

The children will make their own paper windmill following the instructions of our facilitators.

Discovering our hives

Explanations about the world of bees and their role as pollinators will be given to you before putting on a beekeeper's outfit to approach the hives. Our beekeeper will open one for an exploration into the heart of the honey. Maybe you will find the queen?

The accompanying booklets for this weekend around nature and roses

At your disposal, two accompanying booklets to better discover and understand the world of nature and our rose garden at the Château de Chamerolles.

For older children, the booklet "The rose, from the garden to the perfume" will introduce you to some of our 77 varieties of rose bushes at the château and the role of this flower in the design of perfumes.

For younger children, the children's booklet "the gardens of Chamerolles" will be the ideal companion to discover the natural and plant riches of our park and our gardens. Riddle after riddle, game after game, discover the exteriors of the château with your family and have fun.

Florists' Festival - Flowering our rooms

A flowering of the rooms of the castle where the rose is queen awaits you for this perfumed weekend. Several florists are doubling their imagination for this competition dedicated to floral creation, imagination and nature. The rose comes in all its varieties and colors for a sensory, sensitive, poetic and perfumed journey to the land of "The Rose Route".

Floral art workshops around the rose

Come and take part in a floral art workshop to compose a bouquet where the rose will be in the spotlight. Throughout your creation, you will be supervised by Marc Moreau, a professional florist who will guide you through all the stages of designing your floral arrangement.

Journey to the land of the rose in the kitchen...

Thanks to our artist chefs, relive the art of using the rose in medieval cooking. Animation and workshop on making rose biscuits await you. An animation that will mix your senses and will give you all the explanations of the ways in which the rose was used in cooking, but also in hygiene and cosmetics. A real leap back in time.

Please note, the rose biscuit making workshops are mandatory by reservation, limited number of places.

Our sensory walks in the gardens...

Take to the heights for this sporting and physical activity. Hoisting several meters, rubbing shoulders with the treetops, you will have an exceptional view of the castle and the park.

The night of Chamerolles...

To celebrate nature and our rose bushes, we offer a dreamlike and sensory evening.

To kick off the evening, come and enjoy a picnic, for the first time, in the Renaissance Gardens around a large table. (From approximately 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.). You'll be accompanied by a musical ambiance with a concert by the band Joe Sings (jazzy, soul, and lounge pop music). An enchanting setting for a memorable meal. A tasting of rose-based products will be offered in the early evening to give you the warmest welcome. A food truck and cocktail truck will be available on site to supply you with food and drinks, including cocktails.

Starting at 8 p.m., the château will be open to the public for a candlelit tour, discovering an olfactory trail in the form of a treasure hunt. From room to room, your nose will be stimulated for this sensory journey through the château's nocturnal ambiance, where candles and subdued lighting await you. The château will remain open until approximately 10 p.m. To conclude the evening, three small floral images will be projected onto the château's façade to celebrate the Rose Route (starting at nightfall).

Throughout your evening, the Renaissance gardens will be open until nightfall.

The "Little Explorers" animation

On Sunday, June 8th, equipped with binoculars, you'll become true little explorers in search of the castle's swallows!

You'll be accompanied by a member of the Loiret Bird Protection League (LPO). It's up to you to count the nests and the swallows present at the castle. Be careful, you need to be a good observer so you don't miss any nests during your exploration of the grounds.

Swallows return to the castle every year to nest on our facades from April/May to September/October. This is a great place to conserve this species in optimal conditions. Our park also shelters other animals, such as 68 species of birds, both forest and aquatic animals: fish, ducks, and more.

Show "Willy's Garden"

Follow the crazy adventures of a (not-so-small) garden gnome in this show for young audiences at the Château de Chamerolles on Sunday, June 8th at 4 p.m.

Lengthening approximately 40 minutes, this family show will take you into Willy's world, where nature, biodiversity, and the environment are at the heart of his concerns. A cheerful show for all audiences.

Vegetable carving workshop

Thanks to the talents of our facilitators from the Orléans Loiret Horticultural Society, come create your own sculpture with vegetables. Fun and playful, this activity will appeal to your imagination and creativity.

So grab your vegetables for this activity, offered continuously during this weekend dedicated to nature and roses.
