Our big nature event on June 7 and 8

The château offers a unique weekend showcasing the plant heritage surrounding our château. Between our Renaissance gardens, our 77 varieties of roses, our English-style park, and our 44 hectares of listed woodland, nature reigns supreme in Chamerolles. Come and meet us on June 7th and 8th to participate in our many nature activities. From workshops, stalls, nighttime events, shows, flower displays, experiences, and tours, there's something for everyone. So get ready for the event on June 7th and 8th.

Discovering our hives

Saturday, June 7 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

You'll learn about the world of bees and their role as pollinators before donning a beekeeper's outfit to get up close to the hives. Our beekeeper will open one for an exploration into the heart of the honey. Perhaps you'll spot the queen bee?

Flowering of the rooms

Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th

A blooming display in the castle's halls, where the rose reigns supreme, awaits you for this fragrant weekend. Several florists are doubling their imagination for this competition dedicated to floral creation, imagination, and nature. The rose is available in all its varieties and colors for a sensory, sensitive, poetic, and fragrant journey to the land of "The Rose Route."

Floral art workshops

Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Come and participate in a floral art workshop to create a bouquet featuring roses. Throughout your creation, you will be supervised by Marc Moreau of Moreau Créaflor.

Ages 16 and up
Full price: €18 (including access to the château from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. [all day and evening] and a 3:00 p.m. workshop)

Journey to the land of roses in the kitchen

Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thanks to our culinary artists, relive the art of using roses in medieval cooking. A rose biscuit-making activity and workshop await you.

Sensory walks

Sunday, June 8th at 1:30 pm and 3 pm
Come discover our plants in the Renaissance Gardens with our historic dyer during this sensory walk. You'll learn all about this method.

Climb a tree

June 7th and 8th, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Take to the heights for this sporting and physical activity. Rising several meters, alongside the treetops, you'll have an exceptional view of the castle and the park.

“Little Explorers” Workshop

Sunday, June 8, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Discover the world of our swallows, observe them, and count the nests in Chamerolles.

Rose syrup workshop:

Saturday and Sunday all day, non-stop

Enjoy an activity where you can make your own rose syrup and take it home with you. Other products will also be available for purchase.

Show for young audiences “Willy’s Garden”

Sunday, June 8 at 4:30 p.m.

Discover a mischievous garden gnome to understand the impact
of nature on humanity. Poetically denouncing the concreting of our environments, he seeks to highlight the importance of flowering: from large expanses of grass to city center planters.
This dual interpretation makes this a show appreciated by young children for its visual and interactive aspects, and by older children for its political and environmental dimension.

“Vegetable Sculpture” Workshop

Saturday and Sunday afternoons

Thanks to the work of volunteers from the Orléans Loiret Horticultural Society, enjoy a fun "vegetable sculpture" workshop to create original creations.

The rose in cosmetics

Saturday and Sunday afternoons

Enjoy a shop selling rose-based cosmetic products thanks to the Jardins-Spa de Saint-Hilaire les Andrésis.

Open to the public. No reservation required.

Rose growers and various “nature and roses” stands

Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th, all day

Rose growers and nurserymen will be present all weekend to offer advice and make smart purchases.

You can also join our partners at various stands to discuss roses. The town of Montargis will be there for activities, and Loiret Tourism will be showcasing the most beautiful gems along the "Route de la Rose" (Rose Route).

Night of Chamerolles

June 7, 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Enjoy a unique evening at the Château de Chamerolles. A picnic in the gardens, served at a large table, accompanied by live music by the band Joe Sings (concert lasting approximately 1:30 to 2 hours). The Lancelot, a bistro restaurant, will be on hand to offer a tasting of rose-based products. An aperitif, cocktail, and three savory rose-flavored appetizers will be offered to kick off your evening.
A candlelit tour of the château with a unique treasure hunt for all ages, inside the rooms by candlelight and subdued lighting, for a fun (re)discovery of the château. End the evening in the château's main courtyard to watch a fire juggling show. (Approximately 18 minutes)

7:00 PM to 9:00 PM: Picnic at the large table in the Renaissance gardens
with a Joe Sings concert in the courtyard square
Nighttime opening of the château: 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (45-minute treasure hunt). Last access to the château at approximately 9:15 PM
Fire juggling show from approximately 10:00 PM to 10:20 PM
Projection of three still images from approximately 10:20 PM to 11:00 PM (one image projected onto the Châtelet façade from the inner courtyard, one onto the stables-vestibule façade, and one projected onto the west wing from the Renaissance gardens)

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes  50 minutes or even 1 hour on the Renaissance gardens and roses + 15/20 minutes on the perfume organ.

"Paper Windmill" Workshop
Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th, 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Children will make their own paper windmill to take home. This workshop runs all afternoon and is supervised by a guide. Ages 6-12

This weekend, we offer reduced rates for everyone:

Day rate: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Saturday or Sunday): €5 per person, free for children under 6

Saturday evening rate: approximately 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Saturday only): €8 per person, free for children under 6

Day and evening rate (Saturday only): €12 per person, free for children under 6

Special rate: Day, evening, and floral art workshop: €18 per person
